    I got my car!

It's about time, huh? There's good news and there's bad news. The good news is you guys won't be hearing me ask what model I should get now. The bad news is I'm sure I'll be asking alot of other stupid questions in the next few months :P

She's a 1990 325i with 133k miles, and bone stock. Original owner was a teacher and owned it from new until 2002 when she sold it to a friend with 115k. The third owner, the one I bought it from, is a 63 year old real estate developer and a major BMW enthusiast. He's friends with the original owner owner. He asked her about the car late last month and she gave him the contact info for the 2nd owner. He contacted the 2nd owner and made an offer on the car, which she accepted. He was planning on doing some suspension work and tracking it, when he came across a mint 1988 M3 EVO in California! Needless to say he didn't have a use for this car anymore. He told me he'd bring the EVO by when he picks it up :D

Anyway, I'm estatic. I can't believe how nice these cars are. They handle and ride so well stock, I can't wait to see what it's gonna be like with aftermarket suspension. A couple of the things I plan on doing very soon is tinting the windows, installing an alarm, a short shift kit, and fixing a few minor problems. First mod was completed a few hours after purchase, I debadged it :D

    Finally, here are the pics.

Funny thing about that car? It came from Bend, the city I live in. I was supposed to go check it out for him, but he was able to get everything he needed from the seller. :D

It will definately be done tastefully :D

Josh man I'm gonna try to make it down to Corvallis Sunday. If I can't we definately need to get together sometime. Kinda funny to think there's gonna be an M3 Evo in Bend of all places, huh?

Any of you guys have any tips for gettin that crusty old SF decal off the rear? It's way past the point of peeling off, it's probably been on there since the car was purchased. I also need to get a claybar to get the rest of that gunk off the rear from the debadge.

Great looking car, fucking super clean. I love the color too, I wanted a silver or white car myself, oh well. To get rid of the sticker, cover it up with a Euro plate filler ;)

Using a blow dryer I guess would help remove the decal.

Looks like you found a good one, and quick!!! Keep it clean and don't R3V it. If you are ever up north, bring it by.

why did you take the 325i off (as a "mod")?

For that SF sticker I would try some goo gone, the shit works wonders. My friend mashed chewing gum into my new floormats. I was about to kick his ass, instead I gave him a washcloth and bottle of goo gone. No more problems.

i'd be careful with goo gone
                            i think it removes paint
