As in what brand? Pretty sure what I used at my friend's house was Bondo; I'll ask Arnie what he used.

The black headliner from Creative Options went in yesterday, as did the rear window and seal. The pictures I took with my phone really don't do it or the installation quality justice. Thanks once again to bimmerteck for the invaluable help!

Made some progress today along with a minor setback... installed the front bumper surrounds, the valance, the front bumper, the headlights, the brightwork down both sides, the door locks, the windshield seal and some of the side moulding. This led to the discovery that I need to source a few more parts.

The front windshield was a casualty trying to get it inside the seal, as was the lock strip tool trying to do a test run on bimmerteck's car. This may be a job both of us end up leaving to people who do it for a living, as it's proving to be rather difficult.

The bumper surround pieces still need a few more coats of the Classic Trimcoat rubber restoration, and I still need to do the bumper trim. It's easy to see the difference between the two upper pieces in the pics. I think it's going to be easier to finish them on the car so they were installed.

I'm more impressed with the paint work every time we work on it.

The glass installer came this afternoon to bring me a front windshield, install it and install my rear glass lock strip. Unfortunately there was a casualty... :(

I was surprised that a plastic trim tool could do this, but it slipped out of the corner of the seal when he was applying a lot of force trying to get the angled piece in. I was hoping Arnie wasn't right when he said this was inevitable, but sadly he was. It was going back to him for a final polish once it was completely assembled anyway, so now it's just going to need to stay a little longer.
