It's BMW Trillium of Canada. No helmets, top speed is barely over 60 kph. And yes my time went down about 5 s every time I went out.
First lap (warm up, not officially timed): 1:29.5
Second run: 1:21.1
Third run: DNF
Fourth run: 1:12.2
Fifth run: 1:09.9
Sixth run (last): 1:08.0
I was quite happy, as the only other fast E30 out there ran a best time of 1:05.9, and he has at least two decades of experience and a really well set up car.
Yeah, I figured it's a good start. If I had a couple more runs I could have shaved another few seconds. On my fastest run I screwed up in one spot, could have taken the slalom gates faster, but gave it a bit too much throttle and the rear went loose. Oh well, still was a lot of fun, I'm hooked. Drove 280kms on the track today (full day). Falken Ziex Ze-512 = best all season tire
Actually, that pole look close, but there were a lot that were closer, and a big 53' transport trailer too. But the way the course was set up we were always driving away from them with adequate slow down cones (a quick dodge left and right).
I can't believe the track was that close to the building. The last wet one I ran down here I damn near slid through the back of the stop box. Nice times, now you're addicted!
