Finally, brace yourselves, pics of the crapstar 500!

I've been around here for a while and I never posted any pics, so here goes. I should apologize now for my lack of photo skills and picture hosting skills. Here is what I've done to the car so far:
    85 318i
    Plastic bumper swap
    BBS RA's from an e21
    iS black leather sport seats.
    iS front brakes
    Rear sway bar
RD Green springs with KYB struts/shocks
removed the entire idle control system because it was a turd.
I think that's it. I got almost everything for this car used from one place or another. So before you start picking the crapstar apart, remember that the whole entire thing has cost me less than $800. Enjoy!

I like it. Got an old school look to it, which is cool. Love the wheels too.

I've been thinking about doing that with my sealed beams. Looks good.

                  big dish...

Nice car, I like the whole thing. Rack, yellow highs, RA's, and even the plastic bumper swap - though the chromies may have finished the look better ;)

I'm hoping to see it in person at SOME point... ;)

I don't know why they have more dish. I was told they came from an e21. The front are 6" wide and the rears are 7". Don't be fooled by the appearance the wheels (much like the paint and hood of the car) are in wretched condition. When I got them the clear coat was totally pealing off and there was a ton of green oxidation. The centers were originally gold. I cleaned them up as best I could and sprayed them. I'll have them sandblasted and powdercoated someday.

How much does a roof rack weigh? That is probably the worst place to put weight on an e30, especially if you have a sunroof!

"Having won more road races than any other model in history, the E30 M3 is considered by many to be the world's most successful road race car." - Simply put, E30s kick ass.

Does the weight thing REALLY matter in daily driving? I mean... cmon...

Nice looking car for $800. Good job on the plastic bumper swap.

The only thing I don't like are the yellow highs.
