Can anyone chime in from experience, if they used some washers on the motor mounts to raise the engine a little? I'm using a zf320 trans and my friend said it will hit the tunnel if we space the mounts like 5mm.

Also, I looked at another guy's s52 e30, the 525 oil pan looks super low still in the e30! Like just as low as the m42 oil pan sits, is this true?? FML

Yes, some people have used spacers, I personally havent. It's all dependent on header clearance and sway bar clearances that you end up having. I don't remember reading anything regarding tranny/tunnel clearances.

Yes, also to the super low oil pan, it blows.

gonna pickup one of those ejnight skidplates - the pan looks even lower than the 318 pan.. :(

anyone run 45 series tires on their 17s with a m5x/s5x?
