first car when i was 16, 1988 325is lachssilber/black... bought with 235k miles. relatively stock when i got it besides a turner chip and 15" asa's. buddy crashed his 87 325is, i bought it for parts... b&b triflo, supersprint headers, catless stainless center section, rd sways, e36 m3 short shift, bavauto/bilsteins. hood bra to cover up huge dent in the front of the hood... painted intake/vc/headers... had a giant rusthole under the battery and i loved that thing. i'd take it back and daily it right now. sold with 275k on the broken odometer. regret ever getting rid of her.

    braless!

03 gti 1.8t in silverstone. bought with 35k on it cpo bone stock, now has 140k. always been good to me, blew a few front axles when i was lowered though (and coilpacks)... had h&r sways, 20th headlights/exhaust/front lip, kw v2 coilovers, carbonio intake. still daily this, but not on the kwv2's anymore.

91 318i diamantschwarz/black... 140k, rust free project car. got some stuff in, tons of parts including e30 m3 5 lug, st sways etc waiting. its in nj and i'm not, and i lack funds atm to do anything! more to come in a while...

'84 323i eurospec, bmw individual factory color 'alpinblau' on tan mouse piss seats. started to fix rust, put a full cardinal interior in. got it to run... had plans of swapping in an m30 i had lying around as well as a tcd m30 turbo kit. things didnt work out and i sold it (too many cars sitting around). regret getting rid of that one too, but it was really rusty in all the wrong places.

'96 m3 in dakar yellow on black. 96k miles... ready to gallop. just need to pretty much straighten the rear bumper and stock wing and register her. otherwise she's road ready!!!

    when i got her:

clean yellow hood installed and style 68s (which will be on the 5 lug e30)

    as she sits right now:

that's pretty much the lineage plus 3 or 4 parts cars thrown in, all e30's.

My E30 is my first "2nd car" and I got one because my friend introduced me to it. I think for a 22 year old car, it handles great, easy to fix, tons of mods and fixed up properly, it looks great.

This is also the first German car I've ever owned (first car I actually have the title to!) I'll have to wait till the end of the year to make my decision on what car to get next... E30 M3, E28 M5, or E9...whatever I get I'm still keeping my current E30.

I do sometimes go through withdraws when I don't drive my E30 for awhile. Even though it's not as nice and comfy as the IS F, it's still great and I'm glad one of my friends got me into it.

It's cool how some of you guys have other "types" of cars...trucks, jeeps, etc. All my cars have been little Japanese street cars. E30 has definitely out of the box as far as cars I would own.

Questioning God's Chariot!? My guess would be the joy one can get from driving such a simple car as the e30, as has been addressed numerous times. The attachment to the road is where it is at.

I might post up my shitboxes, but its just 3 e30's, 91 Cherokee 2dr, and a 97 Impreza.

Thanks man! No regrets here, all the cars I posted I had before my son was born. I now drive a 08 GMC sierra crew cab as a daily and I picked up an e30 vert as a side project/fun car.

For me the E30 serves as the beater/dd and is awesome for what it is. The Evo is the real toy for track and autox.

Hmm where to start.... have to skip around a bit and leave out some of the more 'boring' stuff.

The first major car project I put together. '68 Chevy C10 with a 6.0 LSx swap

    Then the first E30

    More E30's

    The E21

    More E21's

    The VW

Had a squid bike for a while. Great fun, until I decided to sell it before I killed myself or ended up in jail

Had this beater Mercedes for a bit, great road trip car

E34 Touring. Took it camping a couple times. Did a great job

Also played with old motorcycles for a summer. Including a mini bike haha

    Interesting E24 parts car

    Current E28 project

    Current daily, A4 Avant

    And of course, the vert

Here is my "ultra short" (as short as it can be) history of vehicles (only 9 years).

    1990 Ford Explorer

(Christmas Tradition - Wreath on Brushguard and Blinking Christmas Light Interior)

    1998 Toyota Tacoma

My favorite car I have owned and by far the most memories... Sold back to Toyota for an deal I could no refuse due to frame rust.

1983 Toyota Pickup - "The Ugly Duckling"

Purchased as my first project car in college... Quickly realized without a real job/tools/space/ or money that she had to be sold. I regret selling this car and told myself the next project car I get I will do it right.

2003 Toyota Tacoma - Current DD

Picked up in "exchange" for the 98 Tacoma which Toyota purchased back for a frame recall.

    1986 BMW 325e - "Flipper"

first e30 - spent hundreds of hours understand the cars to never drive her 15 ft.... Recently sold as a shell after picking up e30 #2.

Starting up for her last time:

    1987 BMW 325is - "Scar"

A deal I could not pass up, the 87is. Swapped over all the new goodies purchased for the 86e.

Bought my first car on my own when I was 17. It was an '85 318i with a black spray painted early model IS valance and black hood. Had an M10 motor and probably the perfect car for a high school kid. Dind't last long though since it had problems but lots of character!

Only picture I had of the car as a whole:

Then when it was stripped and ready to be picked up by Pick 'n Pull:

Then when I was 18 my dad went out without me knowing and got me a '91 318is

    Before:

The most recent shot I have of it right now:

It is sitting on KYB shocks, H&R Sport springs. Euro grills and smilies with 6k VVME HID's. IS lip, MT 1 steering wheel and other goodies. Engine is still a stock M42 but I'm going to run that bitch till she blows and then swap for a 24 valve later on.

I'm 19 now and have paid my dad off for the car. Next up on the list are wheels, rear sub bushings, tint, and other things I can't think of right now!

    Bricel24...nice EVO & E30! Great Combo!

    FrozenSolid...I <3 Tundras...I don't think I would ever own a truck, but if I did...I'd get a Tundra...or if I needed more power, I'd buy a Ford Diesel... But Tundra...hands down...it's like a big comfy car...
