Upgrading from 87 look to 91!! What a difference!

ok, so I got this white 1988 Convertible 5 speed in original condition. Typical dry cali car with original paint, top in great shape. the bumper was the issue- pushed in from accident and chrome bottle caps- typical late 80s ride. One day I came across a junker 1990 325IS in the same white. Dropped in the 325IS fresh drive train and dumped the tired one that was in the car. The 3.73LSD makes a nice change. I guess its a 325ISC now-hehe And later on a 1992 convertible in white that was for parts. All the parts matched up and no painting was done here. A good color sand and polish will bring this Westside ride back to glory. Still working on the rear. But What a difference it makes! Conversion was easy! Just dont forget to cut off the front tie downs.

Actually, a good friend of mine saw it in mid transformation...found out that I was gutting it and replacing with my IS parts stash and took the car that day! Made it his! But still helping him to finish the body. :pimp:

You know the funny thing is.... the people around me that never thought of buying a E30 are all catching the "E30 bug" and grabbing one! My cousin and I built a nice black on black 4door as a daily lux commuter driver instead of buying a new car this past summer! Then he drove it back to Seattle and cannot believe that a 17 year old car can turn out so sweet.
