Picked up my first BMW today. 87 325i. Its my project/DD. These are all pics before I've done anything to it. Already have a punch-list of about 10-15 things to do to it, lol.

Haha, not my plates, its the previous owners. They're off now. Plans aren't anything too special, get it cleaned up, new seats as these are horrible, get everything working and fix this hackjob wiring that was in it. Needs the valves adjusted too. Going to replace the top at some point, and the lower fascia is going to be covered in stickers. Actually kinda like the wheels, needs to be a bit lower though. I don't know what kind of rear it has on it.

Can't tell what rear lower it has on it. No marking or anything. Adjusted the valves today, replaced the plugs and painted the valve cover black. Have done some basic cleanup and rewiring. Had an alarm installed previously and it messed up the wiring really bad. Now its still bad wiring on the power windows and radio, but now its my bad wiring, so at least I know how its done and that its properly fused.
3 questions if anybody is still reading and paying attention:
My tach and mpg gauge don't work. Is that going to be in the cluster or some bad wiring?
The onboard computer doesn't work. Is it probably the unit, or wiring?
When the car is running it idles fine, but when I rev/drive it, when I come of the gas, it doesn't just come down, it kind of hangs and revs for a couple second then comes back down. Is this a common problem?
