Post Paint Job Photoshoot (Eta Content)

Posted this in my build thread as well, but here are the specs:

    1987 325 eta
400,000 miles (yep, you read that right)
    Tokico springs/shocks/struts
    Tucked bumpers
    Late model valence/fogs
Painted diving boards and plastic shrouds
New window lock strips (black instead of chrome)

Did a photoshoot yesterday with the wife. It was rough... 95 degrees with no AC in the car currently. I need to pull a vacuum on it and see if it holds since I replaced the expansion valve.

Let me know what you guys think. I am pretty satisfied with the work the paint shop did. I found some flaws of course but I told him did not want to it to be a show winning paint job. I drive it everyday and did not want to pay $4000+ for a paint job on a daily. I already got a rock chip on the hood and would have been extremely pissed if I had paid a whole ton of money. But for the $1700 I paid, he did a remarkable job and I would have no problems recommending him.

Looks good. The only thing I don't like is the rear bumper surrounds being color matched. It works for the front though.

thats the only way the rear bumper on a early model looks good to me IMO.

400k has never looked so good though!

I'm never a fan of rear metal bumpers, but the car looks nice man. Keep doing good by her and she'll do the same.

^Thanks guys. She is a fun little car, and with 400,000 miles on her has been dead reliable. She's loud as hell though due to piston slap (I'm pretty sure) so I am just going to run this motor until it has nothing left and then drop in another 2.7.

Nice, but I bet yours sounds a lot better than mine does. Too bad too because the exhaust is sexay when not overpowered by the mad crazy piston slap.

San Antonio, but I frequent Houston... errr fairly frequently.

I agree... wish there was a valence option for tucked diving boards.

And yes... 1700 prep included. I did strip the trim, glass, emblems, washers, etc myself though. I never trust body guys to remove things and install them back 100% correctly.
