Rare to see pickup trucks in Germany...

"The Camry is an appliance, not a car. It attracts folks who have the same regard for driving that they have for washing dishes,
i.e. it's a necessary but somewhat unpleasant chore and they want something to make the task a little easier and insulate them from the process."

M-technic-3, Who do you know at the autoskills center?I went down there and talked to a few guys and they are great for keeping an old bimmer running. This kind of swap, however, is a bit beyond their norm. I've been doing alot of reading, just can't seem to find and better info than "just measure it and find out when it's in". I don't have a ton of space to work in or tools. I'd like to do the position 2.5 a la the Frank Malcuso write up but don't know if that will affect the driveshaft.

http://www.e30.de/335e.htm this is in english already no translating required. I know them by face sorry my name recollection is poor till I get back there.

German guy in the base junkyard is much better than the days of Conrad. Anyone who's dealt with the Spang yard knows the likes of Conrad. I know of three complaints against him which caused him to move jobs. He should of lost his base privileges but he's been retired there so long they haven't yanked em.

Conrad that bad? He actually works at engine analysis in my shop now...I've never really had to deal with him though...What'd he do? I know Bob and Andrew; the only German guy I know there is Raplh but he works as a mechanic.

I read all through the e30.de website, this one, and e30tech...at times I feel far more confused than when I started after reading so much info...

Was taking parts and selling at his shop down town and on German Ebay.

So If you came to pull a part that was of value it was sold always and you never could buy anything good. Most cars would magically appear up on B50 near the old VFW now it's an Asian restaurant near Dudeldorf.

Might be a different guy so don't disparage him over it. There is another guy that is on e30tech/ here as well. He swapped a M50 from into a 318iT that's white. He's a dependent if I remember correctly.

I know Bob works the counter drives a VW Cabrio still? And Ralph.

I always wondered why that asian place had so many junky looking cars in the lot next to it...Then one day they all disappeared. Interesting...I've heard lots of complaints about the Spang yard myself, though I keep going back just because I'm friends with Bob and all them so they always hook me up/help me out. I actually just bought an E32 730i from the junkyard and am in love with it( post pics up one day). They've helped me out quite a bit with it...I need to try and make it up to the Ramstein yard and see what they have.
Haven't run in to too many E30 guys on base; there was a nice white 2 dr with green rims that supposedly had an S50 swap. Other than that it's me and 2 other ratty looking cars...Let me know if you're ever in the area, I could always hang out with a fellow E30 guy at the Ring or over some beer...

                      Nice find!

Question: What's with the B34 intake mani?

Don't know; it came from an 85 635 according to Mathias and I was under the impression that all the early M30 B35s had the 3.2/3.5 stamped on the manifold...

His car was a US spec car bought it in the states had more than a year remaining on station so he was entitled to have a vehicle shipped to him on his PCS entitlements.
