3,000 miles later. The Chalkboard's journey to Bimmerfest

    Starting in Oklahoma... to Albuquerque

    Arizona

First In and Out in Kingman

    Finally made it to Pasadena!

And the aftermath. Went down to SD to chill for a day before heading back home.

Pretty much, thanks for the great time in California!

Two years ago I would have never imagined that this $400 e30 would make a 3000 mile roundtrip journey to Bimmerfest. Nonetheless, she made it. And what a trooper she was. Through the mojave without A/C and across LA roads in le stancington form, all of the sweat and dislocated vertebrae were completely worth it.

I finally got a chance to put faces to the names I've been chatting online with for years. And more importantly, I got to meet a bunch of really great people I would not have met otherwise. Friends, thank you for making this trip more badass than I could have imagined.

And also, I love this e30. 250k+ miles on the car but she made the drive like a champ.

This inspires me to drive my E30 from SW Florida to California for Bimmerfest. What an awesome journey that would be.

What a great story for your future children, it was really neat to see you succeed, without a bump on the road.

Neil's car is proof and inspiration that you don't need to spend a lot of money to make an amazing e30.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30
