New E30 Owner as of Yesterday!

Hello everyone, a little bit about me on my first post on the forum. My name is Ryan, I'm 20 years old, and I'm a full time student with a Mechanical Engineering degree. I have been into cars since I got my first project 4 summers ago, a 1990 camaro rs. Yes, a true mullet machine haha. I spent several years slowly transforming the camaro from a turd gen back to a third gen. As years passed and my project went a little further. I began to realize slowly that I truly loved cars with a passion. As the racing scene picked up here in my area, I have worked on getting the camaro up to par with the other cars. But I realize it's almost impossible to do right now being a full time student and my funds are a little low for a "race car."

So, I am selling my camaro, 84 turbo 300zx, and my daily driver, a saturn, to begin this new project of mine, "UROTRSH" Well, that's what the license plate says once it's registered  I bought a 1985 325e yesterday. I paid $1450 for the car with 126k showing on the odometer . The car was painted in a booth satin black. The door jams and engine bay still remain the factory silver color, for now until I get to it. It is a 5 speed with all power. I was so stoked to find out it had brand new motors for the windows, sunroof, and side mirrors. The car has heat and A/C (a/c needs to be charged though) and I also have an aftermarket Sparco driver seat. I'm very excited about this car and it will be a huge project. Right now it is my daily driver until I can sell my other cars and get more funds for this one. I am buying a kit, who I think happens to be a member on here, to do a LSX/T56 swap to this car. Instead of an LS1 I am going with the LQ9. Instead of an aluminum 5.7 liter it is a 6.0 iron block. I plan to keep all my accessories and daily drive this car once the swap is done.

If anyone can give me some advice to the E30 world. Please share. Time is valuable with my schedule and anytime I search for things. It brings up the posts of people asking the same thing but with people responding saying, "Search the forum" So it is sometimes frustrating to find information on these forums. So if I ask a noobish question, I am sorry. I really do try to look up all the information I can. I just need some help on the tips and tricks. Anyways, I'm glad to be on the forum and look forward with gaining information and making some friends on here!! Thanks for reading and hope to hear from some members!
