    Back in the saddle again...

So after a 3 year vacation from BMW's, I decided to sell my B6 S4 and purchase a few BMWs. I have been dreaming of an Alpine e30 vert for a while now, a since I've never owned one...I nabbed the first 5spd alpine to show up on Craigslist near home. I bought it literally the day after I sold the S4. I was sad to lose hundreds of torques but was still grinning ear to ear on my drive home!

These pics are after I added coilovers, a completely refreshed front end, a slew of fuel/electrical parts replaced, wood grain NRG wheel, and a few other trinkets. I have plastic bumpers waiting to go on. I forgot to take a before picture from when I purchased it, but it is mostly stock anyways.

Then I bought this for mah wife

    ..and another one for me...

also...does anyone else's third brake light housing leak water into the tool kit in the trunk? I took it apart and added some gasket maker to the base after clearing some rust, but it still leaks in a hard rain.

My vert does the same thing. All my tools rusted so bad that i had to throw them all away.

Nice car though. good to see more cabrios around.
I don't even own this car anymore, but I'm too lazy to change the picture.

Leaky trunk is normal but I would recommend finding a coupe/sedan lid instead. Finding a AWII is easy and looks so much cleaner. Here is mine after I installed one...

BTW, where in NC are you?

That looks very clean indeed. I'm in Raleigh, NC. Where would I even begin to find an Alpine II trunk lid? There are a few you-pull-it junk yards around here "LKQ", but I haven't had much luck in the past.

Check member "rigmaster"...AKA, Bret. I got mine from him and he also has an e30 graveyard so he may have another. Also check out nceuro.org, if your not aware of the site. LKQ, like most PnP, are hit and miss. There is an NC e30 facebook page as well to help with your hunt.

Thanks for the heads up on Rigmaster. He's got an Alpine II trunk lid I'm going to pick up this weekend along with a few other parts.
