Yeh, she was bored while I was taking photos... too bad right after taking them, on the way to the grocery store I got rear ended.

yeh I have adapters. Have to repair them though as the previous owner stripped a few threads. Either going to heli-coil them, or drill and press new studs in.

Thanks I want to see how it goes too! Also with an extra light m20 flywheel should r3v pretty sweet!




Anyway, what does r3v think? should i black out my busted chrome bumper and let it be, or get a replacement?

Cut the springs, take a brillo to the hood and rust it out, crazy camber on the wheelz and a budget turbo system and you'll have yourself a rockin' ride!

Small update!

Its been slow since i moved house on the weekend. But on the plus side I now have a double garage!! ;D

We tore down my m50b25NV motor and had a look at everything.



All the cylinders looked identical! Taper and oval checks made sure of this!!

then we went on to test fit the piston(s), crank and rods



after all of that we cleaned and masked the block and painted it





All just in time for new parts!!

Another small update, have been working on a harness adapter. i think i have it all done correctly!

also have been sorting out where the magic will happen

Because in NZ we drive on the other side of the road, and cars are RHD, so need to take off an around 20mm to clear the steering UJ

Another update,

got started on taking the m20 out, went pretty smoothly. Its all ready to come out just waiting on the engine crane. pics!

The coolant looked pretty sweet!


Didn't take very long to get everything up top out and done




This broom is awesome if you have a painted garage floor!

Thanks! There's is a company in NZ called Kelford cams. I have been in touch with them. They can make cams to schrick specs. So I am thinking about the ol' intake cam on exhaust side with a schrick intake cam.

update!

Pulled the motor tonight! It went really well. I got this old engine crane from a friend of my dad 2 years ago, and was sitting in my dads yard since!
(Cool thing about it is that it has a built in load leveler)

PS big thanks to my mate Marcus for picking up my crane and helping me pull the motor! Def great to have another pair of hands!
