    Daily driver M42

    Hello to all of you!

My name is Domagoj, im 22 yo, and i'm from Croatia. Im student who si working every now and then and slowly upgrading his daily driver. Im doing about 35-37k km in a year. I pretty much love this car <3

Car is BMW E30 316i coupe, April 1990 (so it is one month younger than me ), bought from first owner (old man). Serviced in BMW service (have everything writen in service book) untill I got it. It had 206k km. Now it has about 321k km.

M40B16 left me only once on a road and a simple reset of DME was enough to get it going again...

I' ve swaped M42B18 which is still stock, and had never left me anywhere.

    It was like this:

I've had 8 of them at home, so I decided to pick best 4 and to kill my fingers on them

    final product

    Bushings, 3,91 visco lsd diff...

Then it gets better, changing of aux heater

Coudn't have done it without this :loco:

Some pics after the above work

Today it has little purple/blue/red sign on steering wheel

Like I said, here is the evidence (steering sign and new OE floor mats)

Then after 3 months of waiting, they came to me (v2 inox)

This is on kw coils with best friends :D

Then after 4 times sump saw rocks and road, I've decided to make sump guard with friend. It cost me about 50$

    New exhaust (remus)

I love winter soo much <3

We have hillclimb track on "mountain/forest" which is empty for traffic in winter time :nice:

    With another friend

Best city cinema trip and my ex gf nerve training :giggle:

Not on time, but never too late, LSD 25%

    Swaped ratios

With the time I finally found alipnas, renew them and got some p zero nero

Then I decided to put some better brakes and found this for reasonable price

    Ordered some of this

Got corrado rotors, machined them and put on car with wheel distance (20mm in front). Still driving that setup, but at home I have tarox zero new discs, rear pads (strada), tarox fluid and waiting for hawk hp+ front pads...

    With wheel spacers

Now, I've got M54B25 in garage and I need your help :hitler:

So if you would be nice and polite, throw your eye on this and say something smart to me.

    Thanks

wow this is a gorgeous car...props man. I love the interior. Clean and OE. Just clean all around.

how hard was the ratio swap on your LSD? I'm thinking of taking a burnt up 2.93 I have laying around and dumping some 3.25s in it, and selling the 3.73 I'm currently running.

I didn't touch pinions, just ring gear. It's not that complicated, I had air tool (pistol/gun) and all went without of problems. LSD was from 3.64 diff, and I put it into 3.91 diff.

You need to take off drive flange, side bearing cover and diff cover to get lsd unit out. Get off ring gear from lsd unit and from open unit (in my case visco lsd unit from second diff) and change them. Be careful with ring bolts, they are not the same lenght.

                      Pozdrav kolega!

KW cost me 1400 euros. I have in plans d2 front camber plates and camber kit for rear.

@Xat1cZ: I said I like snow on the road. KW is perfect on snow :D

@mr.vang: I sent my struts (no1 on picture below) to kw, and they returned me kw v2 inox.

                      Thanks everyone!!!
