    Reunited with my M-tech 1

Happy to be reunited with the m-tech after some several months of TLC/deferred maintenance and a lengthy custom wheel build. Wheels are 17x8, 17x9. Pics:

Note: The undersized tires came with the wheels when I bought them, and were essentially brand new. Really want to get wider ones on there. The alternative is to slam the car even more than it is already slammed to go HELLA FLUSH, but that's just not sensible for our lovely Seattle roads, plus I prefer a less stretched look.

Wheel/tire fitment experts: Based on the poke you're seeing, the width/size of the tires, and the current ride height, what kind of tires do you think I could fit under there? I'd love to fit a 225 in the front and 235 in the rear, but that may rub on the struts. My fenders are rolled flush, but not pulled. I'm also running 5mm spacers in the front and 8mm in the rear.

Upload the pictures to a photobucket, etc. The way you have them linked from the r3v gallery isn't working.

Very interested to see it though, I almost pulled the trigger on the wheels. Can't wait to see how it looks with the new lip/barrel setup.

Yeah the initial upload failed. They're working now. ^^

In addition to downsizing the lips to 2" all around (from 2.5" and 3", front and rear), I also got rid of the flaking "custom" paint job that was on them and powder coated them Bavarian silver. The silver with white effect didn't look great IMO. I wanted a more factory BBS look.

We have terrible roads in Seattle, and lots of hills. I live on a hill. I even regraded the entry to my garage and put in a custom angled garage door so I could park in there whatsoever. If I go much lower, it will probably rub.

I'd rather just put bigger tires on there than lower it anymore to be honest. I like the slammed look and all, but it's just not sensible here.

Thanks for the compliment. Currently the wipers are just aesthetic. I need to get my ass in gear and wire them up once and for all.

Thanks... Adding a couple interior pics to help fully convey the rarity of the car haha. I missed it so much!

Nice this is exactly the look I'm going for.
got the euro bumpers on and the Mtech 1 stuff is on the way. Except I'll be running 16" RS's 16x9 et10, 16x10 et10. Oh my car is Delphin Gray too :)

                        they'll be twins!

I think you should shadow line the side trim and window trims tho

Awesome! Excited for you. Will be a fun project.

I'm actually lachsillber, so we're more like siblings. Going to look very nice when you get it all put together. I'm purposefully staying away from shadow line on this car. Would only do it if I body matched the bumpers, but because they are chrome, I'm keeping the chrome trim throughout.

Needs wider/taller tires or more low.

                              Looks amazing besides those criticisms.
