    My Alpine 1990 325ic

I looked for about three months and made a couple of trips to the Bay Area before finding my car in the Sacramento area. I wanted a cabrio with a five speed that wasn't too much of a project. Here's how it looked when I bought it. It had tinted windows, including the windshield, 16X7.5 Borbet wheels, a Magnaflow exhaust system, crack-free dash, re-upholstered seats, and the original radio. 140,000 miles.

The radio failed and after much deliberation I got it a new head unit and rear speakers.

The Borbets never quite did it for me. I thought they looked too young for me, the offset transmitted bump steer, and the fifty series tires rode rough. So I was able to find a set of Euroweaves. They, with new Kumho Ecsta 4X 205X55X15 tires and a Sparco strut brace really have smoothed things out.

It's had a bit of mechanical work and is starting to get pretty sorted out.

Thanks. I've had done some little things like top lid struts, vacuum hoses, timing belt and tensioner, front shocks, RSMs, etc... It still needs a driver's side door card. It's paint is kind of tired. I'm looking for a Euroweave spare and a couple of spare caps. It needs to go visit Ryan and get a few confusing things like check panel lights and removal of the old CD player taken care of. It tries to overheat on really hot days.

You know that stereo looks really great in the dash. Though the technology is two decades apart it looks almost as though it belongs there.

                Deathtoll,
Thanks, I searched quite a bit. It has a nice square look and the lighting color is a pretty good match.

Yeah I'm going to find that same one and dump it into my 325is.

Those came from Aaroneous, a Norcale30 (site now hacked) member. They came from his beautiful red MTII vert. He wanted something with a bit more flash. Don't know if he is a member here.

Where in the world did you manage to find a pair that worked??
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Pelican Parts. They took a bit of figuring out but it took around half an hour to install them. Beware! The little e-rings are EASY to loose and ARE NECESSARY.
