EDIT: acc to fueleconomy.gov, the e46 will get better fuel mileage than the e30. 5 mpg's better on the highway, and 2 better in the city

Very nice car, man! Silver is the best colour as in my experience it's invisible to cops. I drive a silver wagon and before the new exhaust setup I could drive it sideways through the middle of town and no one would notice.

I doubt it will take TOO much of the E30 moneys, it will likely remain relatively stock. I just have to fix some stuff.

Salvaged because it was hit in the front. Frame is straight, new hood, core support, cooling system, DS light, and misc bits. Not perfectly good as new but

Wouldn't put that drivetrain in an E30. 6sp too heavy, not as robust as ZF320. M54 too refined and boring. E30 needs loud soulful motor, E46 needs toark everywhere with long gears, no NVH and quiet vaguely enginey vacuum like sounds at WOT.
