E30's came with very little insulation. We added a bunch of it on the Henna car. Seemed to help. But if someone had a DB reader they could measure the difference from one car to the other.

Peel and seal from Lowes, super cheap and was easy to install.

does it really help dampen the noise?

Finishing up the S50B32 swap on the E36 Vert. Welded in the custom exhaust. Just need to swap the wiring harness to the opposite side and it will be ready to rumble.
