    So far...

Welp I have had my car for four days... Let's just say it takes one day and one night of staying up not being able to sleep, to understand why this forum was created.

So far the problems I have noticed:
-One of the oil coolers hangers is torn.
    -The ball joints need replaced
-Non of the locks match and I can only lock from the trunk and another key for the ignition
-Front valence is dented so the "IS" lip can't clip on all the way
-The muffler tips knock on the rear and has broken off the paint to be exposed to rust
-The transmission makes a noticeable whine
-Right around 3k-5k rpm there is a buzzing sound coming from the under dash panels somewhere
    -Everything is stock... Almost

The good, as will ADOPEWITASCOPE could testify:
    -The motor runs strong
-The interior and headliner is in great condition
    -Quiet
    -Overall clean
    -A good start!

I Put this list to get opinions of what you think should be cheaply fixable and what you think of it:)
Also give me ideas for it's future!

I am open for all opinions! Give me a good baseline to go on!

well nobody buys a near perfect e30. you always have to throw some elbow grease on em. I hope you got a good price for it though. As long as the body is straight the mechanical stuff is easy. Seems like a good platform. Welcome to the club if its your first one and good luck working on her.

Is this your first E30? They are addicting little suckers, I never even really cared for them that much, then I drove one...... I love the color of that car, the body seems pretty straight. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it?

I see that you ended up getting a red car. Very similar to my car!

I get so upset when someone new posts a mint calypso.

You asked, so here is a good start:

Timing, new control arms, tie rods and sway links. Then two options for suspension drop; Bilstein sports and H&R Race or Ground Control coilovers with Koni valved sports. Drop the car down on some black wheels in 16x8+ or some classic silver faced with polished lips. I am more than happy to help you with fitment and suspension tech help.

that is my advice for a neck snapping show stopper. Calypso is a knock out lowered with black wheels, shame there is not that many. Welcome and hit us up for any part advice and info.

*So far the problems I have noticed*
-One of the oil coolers hangers is torn.
Get used to DYI zip tie repairs, my brother's was torn off, I just made new holes and used a custom bracket I made.
                    -The ball joints need replaced
Meyle or Lemfoerder are the best brands to replace with.
-None of the locks match and I can only lock from the trunk and another key for the ignition
You can remove barrels from a parts car and use two keys; one for starting and other for all locks.
-Front valence is dented so the "IS" lip can't clip on all the way
Bend it back out, the metal is super easy to get straight.
-The muffler tips knock on the rear and has broken off the paint to be exposed to rust
Buy new rubber hangers and make sure the hanger mounts are not bent.
-The transmission makes a noticeable whine
Check your fluid, that is the most common issue. 20+ years of use leads to low fluid.
