Hi guys, I've been lurking the boards for a few years now. After I parted out my 86es 4 years ago I haven't had a e30. Just a few months ago I saw one on craigslist and he actually is a member of this board. It had 145,000 miles on it and most of all it was a manual since my es was a autotragic. I looked at it and everything that was wrong was fixable and it really wasn't in bad shape. It pulled hard and everything felt right. The issues were it just leaked every fluid it had, and has a few dents and will need a new paint job that will come in the spring/summer. The interior is mint and has a crack less dash. There wasn't much rust except on a fender which he gave me a replacement with the car. So enough talking and on to the pics.

Little bit of rust on the passenger fender

Dent on the drivers side rocker panel

Dent on the passenger fender

Some goodies

And here starts the work..

Had to lift the car up to get the drivetrain out. Def was easier than trying to go through the top.
Missing her front teeth

A little dirty

flywheel was in good shape

Clutch was just replaced, wish I would have known for sure before I bought the kit

A little bit of carbon build up

chevy orange

scored some m50 injectors from the junkyard for 50$

Putting it back together

cleaned up a bit

getting there

power steering delete

New clutch kit

Picked one of these up

installed

ready to go back in!

Got it in the bay

And I didnt get a pic of it all done but it runs great!
No more oil leaks!!!:woowoo:
Still have to replace the steering rack since it has a little bit of play but Ive got one coming. My transfer case failed the jack test so I have a used one on its way as well. The idle stays at a steady 760 and doesnt budge. No codes came up on the code reader. This overall was a good learning experience and my help Keith saved me on this one.
Parts being replaced soon will be tie rod bushings, control arm bushings, sway bar bushings, and getting the suspension set. Also looking for a set of bottle caps so I can put some snow tires on them or a set of wheels that will work as winter ones. There are big plans for this car just have to work through the issues and get it in great shape. Will update as it progresses.
Thanks
