Soo Last Friday night heading back from a friends in Hudson Ma, I ran into some terrible construction, I travel on this road once a week, this road has been a mess for months but in the last week it has really gone to shit. So at 4 a.m. I pull onto the road its dark and misty I start cruising down the street at about 15 mph trying to dodge craters and other unmarked bullshit in the road, I come over the top of a small hill riding the center of the road and drop down a dip followed by smashing the f out of my oil pan on a sewer cap. Never had a chance to see this coming, I cringed and new exactly what happened shut the car off and pulled over to assess the damage. I walk back 50 feet to find pieces of my oil pan and my oilpump in the middle of the street. I call the Police to file a report for a claim and call AAA. Tow truck driver comes out and says has this car been modified? I said yea its lowered 1.5 in (Legal limit is 2 inches max in MA)tow truck driver claims hes going to damage the hell out of the car and that I would have to pay him to tow it the 25 miles as AAA does not cover modified vehicles. So I pushed my car to a legal parking spot for the night and got it towed by AAA and a different tow company the next day no problem. Now assessing the damage on jack stands I find the crossmember is also bent and the exhaust got crushed. I took pics of the area to prove there were no warnings or orange paint or anything.
