Effing dodge ram killed my shark

Driving home from work today when I heard load screaching behind me, I looked in my rear view to see a Dodge ram dually just plow a Toyota Sequoya lifting the back of it at least 5 feet in the air, both cars fly into a Tundra which in turn hits me...The good old E24 took the hit like a champ, it effing hurt, When I got out I expected to have nothing left of the back of my car but she held up well. But none the less Im pretty sure shes totaled, both quarters are buckled pretty good and the whole back of the car is about 2 inches lower than before. I was trying to sell this car but Im still heartbroken to see it come to an end like this, I loved this car..

:'( :'( I wanted this car too... hope you aren't too badly hurt. LMK know what happens to the car. I would possibly be interested in it for parts if you don't end up keeping/fixing it.
    Sorry for your loss

I am confused, did it push the trunk in? The rear end doesn't look damaged.

Yes.. when the truck hit the rear of the car it actually pushed the rear trunk part of the car down in relation to the rest of the body, both of the 1/4 panels buckled in several spots. I can only assume there is more damage under the car but I haven't been under there to see. At a glance it don't look horrible but its actually a pretty big job to straighten the whole rear of the car then address both 1/4 panels.

Glad you're okay, but damn, hate to see a shark go down. I had an 86 and I miss it every day... I hope it helps other owners.

Sometimes a good body shop can pull it so that its almost back to perfect. This is how the remove some of those wrinkles from the quarter panels. See this thread about a W124 Mercedes. http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/...-diesel-4.html
