Just picked up a sweet E30

I am new to the whole BMW scene. I just picked up a really cool 1990 325i sedan. The body was in pretty good condition aside from a few dings and dents. The interior is almost mint.

Here it is in original condition...

I just finished all the body work...

Almost done priming... but the weather turned crappy...

I want to keep it looking as factory as possible. Air suspension is likely in the near future. I also want a roof rack so I can carry stuff around because this is my new daily beater.

Nice e30. Nice Elise. Use less tape and do more disassembly.

Normally I strip everything down to the frame like I did with my Elise, but this car is just a quick project. I need to get it done by the end of the week. I am not even doing the door jambs because the color I am going with is very close to the factory color. It's not going to be a show car or anything... just a daily beater that needed to be freshened up.

Also, the bumpers are pretty banged up so I don't know if I want to reuse them or just get new ones.

The interior is in great shape for being almost 23 years old.

I have a whole new grille set on the way. The passenger side was broken up pretty bad. I will be looking for odds and ends to put the finishing touches on it once I'm done painting (I need a glove box handle/door, wheel center caps, misc hardware, etc).

Can't wait to see it painted. What paint / clear coats are you using?
