    I may have an aeromotive one laying around to try. Yea I double checked which way i was turning it. I even backed it out all the way and took it out. Still read the same.

    Made some brackets for my overflow tank. They're painted now and look good. Also ran my Water temp and oil pressure gauges into the ashtray area.

    Just talked to him. He said fuel lines are 5/16 on the 240. said when he was researching the efi-carb swap aeromotive and the malory fpr's were the ones that people said worked best because the high pressure pumps walk all over the other regulators. Apperently it has to do with them being a mech type fpr vs a diaphragm type. Also sounds dumb but make sure your turning it the right way. Backing it off will lower the pressure not increase it.

    Either way. Your stock fuel pump is only running about 30gph give or take 5gph. This is enough to allow the engine to run but will cause it to fuel starve in higher rpms( or in my case void the bowls about halfway through 4th during a 2-4 wot pull). Restricting the volume either by mech. or elect. Means is only going to make the problem worse. High pressure does not equal high volume. The more volume you can supply to the bowls the better. This is why I'm running the holly blue (110gph). The return line size could be playing a small roll in your problem but i think its mostly a combination of the high pressure pump and a fpr thats not designed to have high pressure supply. Like i said before ive got a buddy that runs a walbro 255/malory fpr on stock 240 lines and has no problem bringing the fuel pressure down to 6 5 psi and that pump is running a higher pressure and over double the volume then the stock e30 pump. I cant image the stock 240 fuel lines are any bigger consider they're supplying a 2.4l.

    An electrical resistor? The volume IS my issue. The return line can't handle the volume coming back from the stock pump. So I put an electrical resistor in and it reduced the volume and in turn allowing my FPR to only send 7 psi to the carb

    So i used stock wiring. My fuel pump wiring is all stock. I wouldnt use a resistor if you can help it. Prob with doing that is your going to need volume. Your already working with small lines you dont want to restrict them more. Ive had zero issue using the stock lines. Also the primary pump isnt inthe tank its in front of your driver rear tire. Pretty sure your return line just t's in right there also.
