Was having a weird issue where the car wouldn't come up to temp, wouldn't bleed and as a result had only lukewarm heat for the winter.
Decided it was time to replace the original heater core, heater valve and radiator.
Bavarian Autosport is about 40min from my house, so one day while sitting at sonic eating a chicago style hot dog I decided to cross state lines and pick it up right from their showroom.

Shiny new radiator! Engine bay could use some cleaning love from sitting all winter.

In other news, I have cupholders!

I also have some rust/rot along the driver side rocker and above the rear arch... and driver side floorboard. The New England E30 club I started partnered with a Boston body shop that seems to do excellent work, and they said that if I picked up the sheetmetal they would take care of the mig welding for me, and may even paint it.
I didn't hesitate, I already have the sheetmetal for the floorboards, but picked up some panels for the rockers and wheel arch.

Right now, the interior is all torn apart - pulling up the carpet to inspect for rust spots, and rebuilding both door locks to get the doors to open/lock/shut properly.

Bought one lock rebuild kit for the driver's side since it gets lots of use, and greased the passenger side. I messed around with it for far too long and my dad actually stepped in and had the patience to reassemble the passenger side. I fucking hate the latch mechanisms.

and finally, how the ole girl sits until I get over to the body shop

In other news, I have an electrical engineering friend assembling a megasquirt2 v3 board for the turbo part of this build - I considered stroking it to a 3.0L first, but everything I've read suggests that it will be detrimental to a turbo application. 2.5L it is.

Thinking about keeping it, heatercore went on it the other day, so I can't possibly sell it in good conscience.

    :) - are you on MT / NE30 ?
It apparently was a good time, personally - I didn't end up going since I was working, but a friend brought the car there for me
