    New guy, first bmw!!

Some of you may saw my post over on bimmerforums but here. C&P

Hey guys just saying what's up from central PA. Just bought my first bmw! Been a member on here since 2011 and finally found one that i like and felt was a decent deal

1990 325 vert! I paid $2500 for it. Has 107k on it(cluster works), rust free, and no cracks in dash. Matter of fact the interior honesty looks brand new. Seats were redone my PO.

Car does have some cons. Needs new brake lines and o2 sensor. The major con is the paint. The guy i bought it from hadn't washed it in foreverrrr, literally. No rust, dents, or huge chips but the paint is so dull, no shine whatsoever. Gonna have it buff next week and try and get it back to white not flat cream haha.

Not new to the car scene tho. I have a Subaru that is my "show" type car. Im actually trying to trade it on here

The e30 is pretty much stock besides the steering wheel, volvo lip, and rear lip. Guy said its a pretty rare lip, company called racing dynamics. I haven't even looked into it yet. I don't really like the lip that much. Its too big for me

    Terrible phone pics for now

Got a few newbish questions for ya guys... I want to buy a rear plastic bumper, what all do i need? Just the skin itself? Anyone know if that ugly racing dynamics lip will fit? I dont think im gonna keep the lip so someone want to trade for a rear bumper?? Haha

Having a pretty big issue with the car. i washed it the other day and it has a leak somewhere... The passenger side floor is soaked, front and back seat. I mean badd not just wet but puddling. Does anyone have any idea where it could be coming from? I know one place was the antenna but i already bought a little block off plate for that. The only other place i could think off is from the passenger fender area.

It has a sedan fender on that side not a coupe/vert so there is a tad gap, but it is also wet on the drivers side(not as bad) I already pulled the seats out, i guess il have to rip up the carpet and spray it down and see wheres its coming from.

Anyway, got wheels coming and some more parts!

Looks like a good start. If you decide you want to sell that rear valence LMK.

another Etown E30 sweet. that leak sounds like a sunroof drain but since your's is a vert i'd check into the plastic vents on the cowl. i believe they drain onto pass. side. i drive an '89 lachsilbur coupe i'll keep an eye out for you. Got a friend thats parting a white vert now and has a large parts inventory and local. PM me for info. And welcome to the addiction.

So the verts don't have drains for the roof? I was thinking that could be one leak... plastic vents on the cowl? You mean like the 2 behind the hood correct? What should I be looking for.

Further inspection of the car today it is BOTH sides soaked not just passenger. Its weird though. Passenger side is more wet in back seats but driverside its more soaked up front, hmmmmmm

yea those plastic vents under wiper arms. the pass side has a drain that i believe it drains around speaker kick panel if clogged not sure if trunk drain(pass side) would wet rear floor. lots of info on here, search drains, wet floors etc. I'd have someone in it and hit it good at car wash to rule out top.

Some recent pictures of the hog and what ive been up too...

                          My RS creeping

Went and got some parts from a local the other day. Picked up headlights, is spoiler, fender, and trim piece i needed. Then got my yellow film in the mail.

andddddddddd my biggest issue the water leak! Im not sure if you guys remember me saying about it or not but its really really bad. I started by putting a heater and heat gun in the car while vaccuming it out. Well it worked so i drove the car to my work...

When i got back i felt the carpet and again huge puddles! Just from moving the car the water must have shifted around and puddled in the same spots. Sooo, yep pulled the carpet. Ughh

Huge puddle. Now i just need to find the leak. It was disgusting...
