At the risk of sounding pedantic, a big bumper E30 is not an EDM car. It's a USDM car. The letters D and M in those acronyms stand for "Domestic Market," and refer specifically to models sold locally in those respective markets. JDM means cars sold in Japan, not Japanese cars sold in the States.

That said, congrats on the purchase, looks like a nice clean start.

It was a miss wording on my part, what I ment by jdm and edm is the domestic markets from where they originated from. ie, bmw->Bavaria->Germany->Europe. I know the whole spiel of usdm, jdm and all that. 240sx = usdm s13,s14 = jdm E30 diving boards/ellipisoids = usdm only, but thanks now I know and thanks again!

Congrats. I wish I had gotten an E30 for my first car. They are incredible machines.

Go take pics somewhere besides your damn driveway!

Yep, pretty much. lol jk that was the point I was trying to get across not the reason why i bought the e30. I bought it mainly that everyone around me are ricers either with 240's honda's or whatever. I wanted something that had a deep history something that demanded respect and classy at the same time. The interior is much nicer than most cars and much bigger. Oh and circle headlights :D plus its easy to make these cars look nice which is a good thing. Straight 6 stock, it has more luxuries than most cars today what more can you ask for.

Nice car! Where in Sacramento are you? I've got an 88 Super ETA as well, and live in the Sacramento area.

I don't believe you can judge anyone by what they drive. Except, young, inexperienced e30 drivers.

Nice car perfect starting platform. I hate e30 owners, I'm here to copy ideas and buy parts.

great start! 88's are a great platform. give you the options of converting to plastic bumpers(like me;)) or sticking with diving boards
