    first BMW. E30 325e

    so i just purchased this for $700
    seems like a ok car.
    will be doing a major service, water pump, timing belt, plugs leads etc (can i buy all this via USA on ebay?)
    give it a good cut and polish, repair the small amounts of rust and daily drive for a few months, save some cash and get some coilovers and some 16x9 mesh rims
    then that will do me (untill i blow the engine and replace with 2jz)

        might try get a 325i head and ecu on it in the near future
        edit, i should mention its been sitting for 4 years as a deceased estate

          Lol, its a 325e, and its a 325i head that you will want to throw on, not a 525i or a 525e...

                It would probably be easier and cheaper to find a #731 head for it, off a 323i/320i. If you get a series 2 320i as a parts car, it will have all the Motronic parts too. Probably be cheaper to get a late model 320i parts car than it would be to buy an M20B25 + ECU etc.

                  Yeah, it's cheaper because that head is worse then the 885 head.

                      gonna low boost the 2.7 as is. Will be fine. Brake flush worked a treat. Front Lca bushes are non existent. Other then that everything else is good apart from valve noise. Will adjust maybe
                      Car has a rear end clunk when taking off hard. No doubt some more flogged bushes

                      Idle issue goes away when you drive it, let it idle for 5 mins and it comes back. No fucks given

                      So radiator cap is a tiny bit milky gonna see how it goes with rego for a while, if it doesn't clear up I'll chemi weld it, it's been sitting in the rain for 3 weeks now so could just be moisture.
                      Done the valve clearances, much quieter, though one valve clearly ticks. Not bad though.
                      Brakes good, short flat change 2nd an it will bag to redline, pretty surprising, very fucking surprising, tires are rock hard though.
                      Cleaned up all the interior and fixed the door locks etc looks mint.
                      Wire brushed and dodgily painted the little boot rust.
                      Ready for rwc, I'm just going to pump the lca bushes with some hard setting sika, recommendations?
