So 2 weekends ago we - Castro Motorsport - had the pleasure of attending yet another awesome Shift S3ctor track event. This time was a new experience for us, as we entered a car in the 1st round of Shift S3ctor's Global Time Attack Pro Am Series. We wanted to feel out the series to see how many people would actually enter it, and there was a bigger turn out then we expected. We had too many project that we were wrapping up at the shop to focus on our shop track/time attack car, but it will be ready for the next event.
In the mean time our talented driver Kalon posted some impressive times in our shop Lemons car which ran strong and placed high for 2 seasons in the 24 Hours of Lemons series and in the Chump Car Series. Sadly, the Lemons car didn't make it through it's 3rd full session as we had a wheel bearing fail on the front driver's side. With the years of abuse in Lemons, and the track thrashings it's had since then, it was an unfortunate, but not surprising mishap. Luckily nothing happened, and Kalon was able to post an impressive best lap @ 02:09.4, which put us in 4th place in GTA "Limited" class with clapped out Toyo RA1s, in a 148whp E30. Kalon said with fresh tires and a bit more seat time he could've shed at least 2-3 seconds. Turns out 02:09 at Buttonwillow is a SpecE30 Pole Position time!

As with any Shift S3ctor event, there was a great vibe, with awesome cars and most of all - tons of fun!
Ok, enough blabbing and onto the pics. Go to use my friend's Canon Telephoto lens, and I will now be buying one. The pics turned out pretty good IMO, the glass really made a difference! :pimp:
