
It snowed the other day and you know every time I see it rain on the e30, every time I wash it... My friends, it might be time for clear coat.
I'm running a few test panels to see how chalkboard paint accepts clear coat and if all goes well, we'll see. I might have to start all over and do a proper automotive base/clear. Or if I screw that up, may just bite the bullet and have a paint shop do it. Just wanted to tell you guys ahead of time and get some feedback. It is not set in stone, but that is the direction I am leaning.
Also, it is S5X swap time. I'm on the hunt for a good motor and have already sourced a few swap parts like the e34 oil pan/dipstick/throttle cable, e36 mount arms and a few other small parts. I think I'm going to tackle the wiring myself, couldn't be much worse than my e46 manual swap. I hope...
