    Hello, I'm new

    Hello everybody,

My name is Guido and I've just bought a '88 US Spec 325i, in great shape. This is my third BMW, I previously owned a '90 520i (greatest car I've ever driven, really) and a '81 E12 520/6 (the Euro version that had a carburetted M20). As you can see, I'm a big M20 fan and made almost every maintenance item on all of them.

    On to the pictures:
My former E12. What a truly excellent car! Still miss her and hope to buy it again some day:

    My former E34:

And my actual E30 325i. I love this little rocket, the feeling of the car is so different from the 5 series. Please excuse the crappy cell photos:

So far I've done the usual maintenance items such as timing belt, water pump and solving some minor vacuum leaks, but the car is in great shape. Will surely be bothering you for some advice to spice it up, my goal is to build a 2.8 stroker some day.

    Thank you very much!

    Regards
    Guido

I love how you call the 325i a "rocket".

in all fairness, compared to my daily, (honda civic) it feels like one, but compared to the drag cars i have been in, its a snail

Down here it is extremely rare to find a car with as much power as this. 99% of what you find on any street barely have 100 hp. A 2.5 liter is considered a "big" engine, go figure!

Thank you guys for the kind comments. Hope to lend a hand in everything I can.

The fabric on the e34!!!!! You've had some beautifully taken care of vehicles. Good luck with your new e30!

I'm pretty sure the guy who chose the fabric was listening Pink Floyd or Sgt. Pepper's at that moment
That was one thing that always bothered me about that car. The other was the auto tranny, never got used to it.
The E30 has a great potential. PO's have taken good care of it, luckily. It currently has about 120k miles on the clock, so there“s plenty of life left in it.
              Thank you very much!
