I forgot to post this yesterday, but I finally got my turn signals to work!
    Old connector.

    Spliced.

    Soldered and heat shrinked.

    Connected and done.

Also, I just finished flushing my coolant system. Now all I have to do is bleed it. I drove 15 minutes from my house is a traffic heavy town and as soon as I parked it started to take a piss. Thankfully the bodyguard at the jewelry store gave me a bucket of water to get me home. I'm not sure why it did that because I thought I bled it correctly, oh well. Hopeully it'll be completely fine after this.

I spotted a really nice Mercedes in Walnut Creek a month ago. Not sure what model this is because it was de-badged. It was a little dirty, and to my surprise the owner of the car was not a Mr.Important-look-at-me-I-wear-suit-with-vans-sunglasses-and-copious-amounts-of-hair-gel guy, it was a very flamboyant man (maybe mid 50's) with a bright pink shirt buttoned only half way up with his chest hair falling out.

It looked way nicer in person.

So wide he couldn't park right because flares.

    Derp Dirsh.

    Front end sexy.

Now that I think about it, he kind of looked like Jeremy Clarkson

I bled my coolant system again today because there was still air in it. I could hear the coolant swishing around in the highest hose when i squeezed another hose so there was definitely air in it.

The good news is that my car didn't spew coolant when I shut it off.

The bad news is that my car overheats. I think part of the problem was that it was 92 out today, and I was sitting in traffic.

I'm getting so annoyed with this.

It works fine. That's the fan in between the radiator and the engine right?

I haven't been updating a lot lately because I've been super busy, but my radiator is broken so I need a new one.

                    May 17-19, 2013

Here are pics from my weekend.
                    Got my radiator!

This is why I've been having so many problems with my cooling system.

                    Still stuck inside.

                    Old radiator out!

                    Got the new one in!

Then I found this in my old radiator...

I have no clue how it got there.
Then I went to pick n' pull and got a few goodies.
Thermostat housing from an 89' delphin.

A cleaner roundel than the one I used to have.

Bumper trim that doesn't come off. (needs paint though.)

And i found this beauty and got it for free! in perfect shape.

If anyone lives near newark I highly suggest you go to pick n' pull. They have an alpine white late model and the delphin late model which are in very good condition. The seats in the delphin were very clean. Someone obviously took care of it. The engine and the engine bay are super clean. It was hard to leave it there knowing how in good-of-shape it was.

I haven't been posting on here lately because I've been busy/lazy. I also haven't done much with my besides adjusting the shocks and cleaning the interior and what not.

But I have a huge project coming up. My oil light came on so I checked my dipstick, and it was covered in sludge. Opened up the oil cap to find the inside of the valve cover covered in sludge too... So it's time for a headgasket replacement. The shop said they'd charge $2000 for parts and labor, but since I have a bunch of tools at home, I'm just going to get the parts and do it myself. While I'm doing that I plan on replacing/upgrading a lot of the engine parts while I'm in there. There goes my summer vacation!

And so it begins... (July 1&2, 2013)

I recently started taking my engine apart to fix my head gasket and what not. It's a lot more work than I thought it would be, but nonetheless it's way cheaper than taking it to a shop.

Here are some pictures of my progress.

Draining the oil. It was so thick I thought it was mud.

I drained the coolant too, but I didnt take any pictures.

The weirdest thing happened when I drained the oil. I looked at all the sludge in the drain pan and I found tiny beads of coolant floating on top of the oil. It was the coolest thing to see because they would move when I tilted the pan, and it would leave a trail of blue behind it. Anyway...

This was on my cap. It's a lot worse under the valve cover. I'm scared to open that up...

Takin' the hoses off and shiet.

                          Got the radiator out.

                          Another sweet angle.

                          All the cooling goodies out.

I cut the belts off. :D

                          Water pump pulley off.

A picture of how it looks so far.

Also, I made sure that the crankshaft was TDC, so it's ready to come off tomorrow!

Got a shit ton of work ahead of me! More updates later.

                            July 5, 2013

I finally got my timing belt off.

Then I started taking the valve cover nuts off...
I was scared to open it up. It is actually a lot worse than I though it would be.
                            Valve cover...

There's a pool of coolant sitting in there. Not sure if it's a blown head gasket, or broken cam seals.

Welp. Still more work to do.:(

Yeah I don't think I've ever seen anything this bad either.

                                Thanks man.
