I wouldn't be putting that engine back together and driving it. Looks like you need a rebuild.

Thats what im doing. Well... more of a half rebuild. Im fixing anything that needs to be fixed and then putting it back together. Im not totally replacing everything.

        Some more little updates:

So today I ordered all the gaskets and things that I have to replace. I should get them before august. Hopefully. I also bought torx sockets for the cylinder head bolts.

        Got the exhaust manifold off.

        Gaskets off.

I drained the coolant from the block but i forgot to get a picture of that.
        Unbolted the central harness plug.

Throttle body and intake boot off.

        Another sweet angle.

And that's all I have for today.

I finally got the head off!

          Overview of everything.

Close up of the cylinder head.

Gasket doesn't seem to have any damage so I have no idea wtf is going on.

And these are my fuel injectors. I was told they are 19# injectors, but I don't know hot to check. These are the first time I've taken them out.

          I'm halfway there?

July 17, 2013 (WARNING: Gross Picture)

So I've been working on my car little by little.
            Goodies came in.

            Replaced my water pump.

            And I cleaned my pistons.

            After:

Then this happened... it's hurt pretty bad.

I was taking my camshaft out to get it machined and it popped out of place while my fingers were still in the head.

But on the bright side I got my head machined so i can start putting my engine back together! I just gotta wait until i can use my finger...

Been working on the car, but I'm stuck putting the belts back on. I should have it done by next week if not this week.

I finally put my engine back together yesterday. I completed my goal which was to have my car be drivable before august! I completed the goal, but not as well as I could've. The valves timing was very off and it was a very rough ride. I drove it around the block but I could definitely tell that something was off.

I adjusted the valves today and I noticed one of the eccentrics was not completely tightened down..

I put the cover back on and started it up and it sounds great. I broke a stud and a sensor so I'm going to the junk yard this weekend to replace those parts.

Pics and a video will be up whenever I feel like it.

Very rough. Got played by the guy who sold it to me, had problems constantly, and it cost me a shit ton of money. Oh well. You live and you learn. I'm just glad it's not a problem for me anymore.
