Gentlemen, it's been a great ride! Turning in the E30 keys and going a different route. With an expanding family I can no longer see an E30 as anything but a toy car. Hopefully, somewhere in my 2nd midlife crisis I have the funds to come back home. Here's a little tribute of e30's i've gotten to enjoy over the years. Enjoy.
My first e30 (the one you regret selling), 1987 325is auto (bought in Virginia):

Decided to put in a new muffler (sounded loud as fvck!):

Then came the S50/tranny swap:

The day i sold it to Jest :(

My second E30, 1991 318ic (bought in DC):

New suspension:

Mandatory in all e30s:

New wheels:

New top:

New headunit/clock:

Decided to go with this for a short while, 1998 E36 M3.

But then came back to this E30, 1991 318is (swapped to M20), bought here in NJ:

In hindsight, this e30 was more than i can handle, she was a bonafied street/track car but I only used it to go to they gym and buy groceries, lol.
And for now, I still roll with this, 1993 E34 M5:

The E34 is also up for sale but that's to fund some home projects. She may stay with me however if i can swing the cash for the house stuff.
How i've spent my last 4 years at work:
