    Quoted for accuracy.

I really wouldn't mind a set of those after these basketweaves.
But I also have serious ADD when it comes to trying to decide what to do with my car :D

And hell ya man. There are many MANY enthusiast-owned e30s in San diego...all over really. Mine is also currently back at home (sf bay area) and i miss it dearly. There are some good drives around here, I hear Palomar mountain is sick in particular. We've gotta hit it up this May or June on a weekend...
At this point me and the girlfriend are just looking for a decently priced place in the san diego area. Coastal would be cool though haha im just looking for work and trying to get settled right now

Ive been thinking about visiting palomar mountain. havent been able to do much yet. hopefully soon though

Could an e36 compact join the M42 goon squad? If so here is mine. (If not I'll remove the pictures=D)

How it looked the first time I saw it (previous owner in the picture):

Put the hood back on when I went to pick it up (opened up on the highway when he had it):

After a month of having it home:

Here it is June of last year (returning from Eurowerks 6):

        Right before teardown:

        Engine shot:

Now the rear subframe is out; plastidip has all been removed; shaving the engine bay; and refreshing the m42.

        Here is the m42 currently:

        Clean enough to paint?

If I posted too many pictures; or if e36 compacts aren't allowed, I will remove them=) I do have an m42 and e30 rear subframe though. hahaha

I believe it's Helvetica, or something very similar. Check out "Coolvetica." Free and legal to use for something like this.

                Here's my not-so-sexy DD/bike hauler:

I've got a turbo sitting on the workbench (along with some new seats), but I've also got this little guy taking up all of my monies right now:

Speaking of which, any M42 guys have a stock, working cat? Mine's starting to break down and chunk out. I'd love to not pay for a new replacement, but I'm nowhere near putting the turbo on, and I don't want a loud, slow car.

You guys have some really nice E30's, and nice M42's! Here's my shitbox; I need to put in work cleaning the engine bay and interior up (PO lived on a dirt road) and get it lower with some 15 or 16" wheels, but that's about all I have planned:

Who makes fun of M42's? Getting 30mpg is the balls! I coulda bought a Civic or some shit but instead I bought an iconic rear-wheel-drive BMW that is fun to drive and solid as a rock. OK, I coulda bought another MR2 and gotten 30mpg with RWD but two MR2's would be boring and I wanted something better for highway driving.
