    new guy to e30's. Help/advice/insight 325es 6/1/13

Well I would like to introduce myself. I'm Paul. :haha:
    21 and from California.
Anywho. Picked up a bronzit (i think that's it) e30 86' 325es. Had always been interested in an e30, but didn't get one until recently.
First of all...I'm actually a fan of the big metal bumpers. Haha. With a tuck they look respectable. With that said, my front has a crack/bend from the previous owner. If anyone has one they would like to sell me? :D aha.
    Well back to the intro.

    Goals...
Hmm. Car exterior wise was in 8/10 shape. Cracked bumper, good paint. Missing a side marker which i already have.

Interior was crap, filthy!!! But it cleaned up ok. Need a drivers seat though.

Engine runs strong yet weak? Plan on giving it a tune up next month.
came with all 4 billy sports installed :)

Also I found a IS valance at a jy for 23 and change. Score.....but...i didn't know the foglights were specific and I chucked them to the side :(
    Major fail on my part!

    Well back to goals..
I want a nice DD. The e30 is sexy. Go pretty low, touch up my trim/interior and just have a really nice good looking DD. I already have my toy cars :haha:

    Pics

Here's some old pics. Haven't had much time to do anything to it until recently, school and work are killer >__>

I know how a lot of you feel about xxr's but they're cheap and look decent. I'll upgrade later down the road :)

    Mock fit.

Cleaned it up an sprayed it

    My other cars :)

Two Mitsu Mirage's if anyone cared haha. Been a member of MiragePerformanceForums for 7 years.

Sorry for the super crap picture quality[/quote]

Hope to learn a lot from you guys and hopefully have a long stay.

Btw some of the cars on here are amazing! Trying to keep myself from breaking the bank.

        Small updates.

Changed the clutch master and slave cylinder myself. Just got it back from my mechanic, after reading about timing belts...I didn't want to take a chance
Also had the water pump and valve lash adjustment done

Traded my wheels. Wasn't a huge fan.

Here is how it sits now.

Will be installing the new bumper and valance today and will also give the grille a fresh coat of black.

        Thanks for looking

Resprayed all the black trim and painted the ruins around the lights hyper silver for some contrast.

          MY EYES!!!!

              Thanks! :)

              No! :(
I love these little cars, people really underestimate them.
              I'm building Frankenstein's
My coupe will actually get a engine swap this coming week
Galant 2.4 bottom end with a DOHC KIA conversion with evo 8 internals. Basically an evo head, but its cheaper than buying one.
Plan to boost it next year.

My sedan will be similar, 2.4 eclipse 4g69 bottom end and evo 9 mivec head for another DOHC conversion. But as of now i still need the head, 69 trans and axles I've also aquired.. It's all in storage.
For a twist me and my friend are going to throw a supercharger on there instead of a turbo :D

I like the amount of rubber showing when looking straight at the front.

                            Thanks! Small update.
Time to do tags, means SMOG TEST TIME.
The car passed on the first try! I was surprised.
                            :D
                            It was great.

Things I've done engine wise before smog.

                            Tensioner, timing belt, other belts
Radiator, radiator sensor (don't know what it's called) , fan clutch, thermo, waterpump,
Oil mobil1, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, intake boot (mine was ripped)
Valve lash adjustment, spark plugs, spark plug wires, fresh fluids, valve cover gasket, some Lucas fuel injector cleaner (can't hurt), clutch master and slave cylinder.

That's all I can think of now, next is cap and rotor.

Any advice on any other engine bits that might need changing, guys?

Random pic of my by after trying to clean it up a bit. (before i installed new spark plug wires)

                            Other random shot

So i realized I'm missing my intake tube, before the air box. Anyone have a spare before I order a new one from bavauto. Probably be best to just buy a new one, just thought I'd ask.
