    Another E30

    Hi

My name is João I'm from Portugal and this is my E30:

As you can see this is a dedicated track car...

But let's go to the beginning a couple of photos of the building process (not by me):

This is how it was when I got it:

    And some work I did...

First a proper set of gauges

    A "new" tunnel:

    Some door cards:

    A console Project :

    Next the hand brake:

    Some new firewall:

The final result (and some race plastics in the side and rear):

And now some of the important stuff:

The car has a M50b25 engine from a E34 with a ebay chip, cold air intake, free flow exhaust, the gearbox is a Getrag 265 - 5 sport (dog leg), the suspension is a E36 M3 Bilstein Group N with 1917 lbs/ft each spring at the rear :eeek: and 1622/ft at the front :loco: and in the rear there is a LSD (viscous :ohsnap:) with 3,91 final drive... some pictures...

    Things to do:

    1) Replace the steering box with one from a Z3:

    2) Replace the Viscous LSD with a normal one (this is the new one with a 4,10 final relation):

    3) Put a Sump Guard

And that is all for now...

Nice! Can you share a little information on your hand brake? Did you build it or where did you purchase it from, its very clean!

            From were http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...:X:RTQ:GB:1123

You can use it to block the front wheels and do a burn out or block the rear to pin turn :D:D:D

Are spring rates that stiff really useful or good for anything? That seems crazy, but I have never set up a race car.

The car is street legal on the street forget it... it's a pain

I'm going to take it to a near track to see how it handles if good I'll take the pain in the street when the car is driven to the track if not the springs are going to change but can't take too much because of the dumpers...
