    I bought a 2002 last week.

So excited to own an 02. It's a 74 with only 150k miles on it and it runs amazing. So much fun to drive. It has some rust in the trunk from water sitting in it but other than that there is practically zero rust. The undercarriage, rockers, strut towers, exhaust system, and other typical spots are all rust free. I can't wait to start working on this. Plans are to put in an m20 in it if i can ever get myself to rip out a perfectly good running m10.

    On to the pics.

Nah man, its still cool, now get some different bumpers and some wider wheels and have fun.

Awesome. Throw on some euro-bumpers and that thing will shine. I'd stick with the M10 for the balance, if I were you. An S14 would be awesome, but too expensive. Do people swap in M42s? It would be way cheaper than an S14, but then again a turboed M10 would be way easier. Yeah - sorry for the rambling - probably best to just stick with the M10 for now.

With the M20 swap, moving the battery to the trunk maintains the balanced well. I don't think the OP was asking for opinions here.

OP welcome to the world of 02's. Love Schwartz, was it the original color? Looks like your scored some AC too.

I personally would keep the perfectly running M10. Such a great engine. Great looking car.

Yeah the bumpers definitely need to go. Wider wheels are a must and maybe even turbo flares.

yeah an s14 is not in my budget but that would be lovely. I've read that an m42 swap is pretty straight forward. so that might be an option too.

thanks! It was originally white but was repainted a few years ago. yeah it has AC but a few electrical components don't work. It seems like they're simple issues though. For example the blinkers don't work. The fan turns on sporadically. etc

Congrats! I had one for 19 years....a 72 with factory sunroof. Sold it 2 years ago due to rust. I've owned 30 to 40 cars over the years....the 02 is the one i miss the most.
