A quick picture and a thanks...

An unloved 2.7l 4 door auto that was a few days away from being crushed is on the road and driving again. I picked it up in November for $600 and burned through $3200 in parts getting it roadworthy. I went from 5 pages of stuff to fix down to a half page. Major work was a complete suspension overhaul and all the gaskets and hoses under the hood.

I took my first real drive in it yesterday, about 50 miles round trip. Before that it was scary even driving it two miles because it was in such bad shape.

Thanks to all the members here who post tutorials and put up with my stupid questions. Im decent at mechanical stuff, but never attempted a job like this. This place really helped figuring everything out. Its a gold mine of information. It will eventually get a motor/tranny swap in the future, but even stock its still fun to drive.

Haven't you ever seen Russian Nesting Dolls? They work like that.

I think I got it from bav-auto or pelican parts. I tucked the bumpers and took off the foglights. Removed the old purple tint too.

It has a 3 year old maaco paint job, so its decent for now. Every single piece of black trim looked horrible though. I sanded it all down and used Krylon Fusion on it (which is fantastic stuff).
