    The Farm Dog 1985 318i

just a little introduction, i think about cars too much and my girlfriend has developed a keen sense of what to tune out!

i have a beautiful currently two tone '85 318i with 180,000 million broken odo miles! it has lived in illinois its whole life and has acompanied rust, although not as bad as it could be.
the cool part is she responds to all the love i give her with more of the same. doesnt even have hurt feelings about being for sale!
i spotted an 84 e30 with a swap and i want it bad, as i understand the limitaions of the 1.8 liter motor as far as power goes.
same time, she's sweet and if the "monster" e30 doesn't work out thats okay too. this is a chassis i have enjoyed dreaming about a long while
right now, the rust and paint are being adressed. there are some minor mechanical things being adressed as well, but until shes passed looking so haggard, the suspension refresh will wait. im not sure there is many other things to comntemplate as far as a build. if i can get ahold of all the parts i want, i hope to have an enthusiastic momentum powered flying brick!!

i guess i should list the one note worthy mod! the headers!!
they are pretty, light, and will make lowering this g ride a little interesting!

cheers!! i cant promise lots of updates but when i do it should be cool!
(especially if you'r a bumkin and like things fixed with fencing wire ;))

Loosen that clamp on the header and rotate it upward. Then tighten it down again. Best not to have the threaded side and/or nut pointing at the ground. It you hit a pothole or dip then that bolt and nut will get lots of road rash and will be a real pain in the ass to ever get off. Or worse it will shear off.

    Post updates!
