After owning two E30's about a decade ago, I decided it was time to get one again since I now have a proper garage and the prices are starting to get crazy. I found a clean '91 318is in Everett with 188K on the clock. Needed a steering rack and ball joints, but the price was right. I took it over to Joseph at Munich Motorworks in SE Portland and he happened to have a nice M50/52 setup with complete tranny and driveline out of a wrecked E30. As these do sometimes, things escalated quickly and I'm now the proud owner of this little hot rod. Hoping to get her out for a few more HPDE days this year, including the Portland BMW club run on July 8th. Feels great to be back in the fold.
