    My 325e

It's been awhile since I last posted on here so I thought I'd give you guys an update. I'd like to have a single thread that I can update so I'm going to use this thread.

Back story quoted from my original thread, hope you guys don't mind

It needed/needs some love but the car is all there, minimal rust on the inner part of the driver fender well other wise it's solid. I'm in the process of bring the car back to its former glory.

So far I've done the brakes and swapped the alternator, I also tucked the aluminum bumpers and sprayed them and the grille with rubberized undercoating. I wasn't too comfortable painting the rubber bumpers with spray paint, fearing the paint would eventually crack so i tried undercoating. I bought a set of hella fogs from a guy on bimmerfourms to replace the cracked ones on the car. I have round driving lights from my SPG that will make their way on this car as well, just have to fabricate some sort of bar to mount them too. Should be a fun winter in this thing. I'm looking forward to spending time on this forum!

Scored a set of brand new Pirelli snow tires for $200

Did some rust proofing as well

After I posted that last year this happened

So I decided to drive it till it died and then worry about what to do. Well that was 5 months ago haha It started every morning even with snow on the ground. Goes to show you how durable these motors are. Driving a rwd car in the snow really teaches you a lot about throttle control

I was offered a great deal on a set of bilsteins, springs and camber plates. I think they called it the BTS kit but I couldn't say no for $250.

You can't have suspension without touching the wheels so a friend found these for me.

I needed spacers to get enough clearance up front. I cut it real close but no more rubbing :)

Did a bit of work on the exterior lightening curtesy w123 fogs and red tint spray. It was my first time using that stuff so I was a bit heavy handed but it didn't come out all that bad

So now we're at the present. I dropped the car off at my cousins shop this past weekend to finally have the eta motor pulled and m20 put in along with new seals, gaskets and other maintenance stuff. I gave it a good wash and polish before I dropped it off.

The m3 is a customers car that's getting a built s52 turbo motor, should be putting down 600 or so to the wheels.

If your still with me, thanks for reading and I'm looking forward to spending more time on here. Ill post some pictures of the swap once I get them.

I like the wheels and color combo and painted bumpers, but that bitch needs to be lower, especially the rear (try removing rear pads), just my two cents.

Haha trust me I know it needs to be lower but I can't complain considering how much I paid for the suspension. Since the side on picture was taken, I have removed the lower pads and it sits a tad bit lower, still not low enough though. I do drive this car in the winter so I need to be conscious of being able to fit my snow tires.

Also from where the car sat with stock suspension I think it's a drastic improvement ;)

Thanks for the compliment, I had no idea there was a morristown meet and you're right I'm not far from there. The wheels are called the enkie 92s, 15x8 et25.

Very nice. I'm feeling the wheels too. I think they look really good on the early models.

Very nice, not a fan of the gold but i do still love the wheels, may i ask how much you paid for them?

i also cant stand the huge lights(never mind just noticed you removed them) but it's not my car, you are definitely cleaning it up nicely though. :)

I paid $400 shipped to my door and thanks! Slowly but surly I'm bringing it back to its former glory. Once the mechanical stuff is done, my attention will focus on the interior that needs some love.
