sorry to hear that man I know the feeling. Try and let the other insurance company know as soon as possible that you want to keep it, I was able to keep my 87 that got totaled for free, just because I let them know as soon as correspondence started that I wanted to keep the car. Also got more than I paid for her. You just have to complain a little when they tell you how much they would total you out for. Say its an old car and that no two are remotely alike anymore, claim it has no issues, etc. and ask for them to use the top priced comparisons because your car was a perfect example not some beater.... even if it is.Comment

Fellow 87 Zinno 325is driver here and I feel your pain. It's like these cars cars a magnet for bad drivers. I am always on high defense whenever I go for a drive. I usually try to avoid traffic lights and shopping malls.
Hope you stay in the game and don't let it get you down,

this sucks, same thing happened to me, almost exactly. I really hate to see this, but I agree these things are pretty sturdy. Im glad to see everyone made it okay.
Talk to the insurance about removing add ons and swapping your own interior. They were offering to let me remove all I wanted as long as it was replaced by something else within a few days. But this was when the car was in my property and not some lot. Without affecting their offer.Comment

Sorry to see this. :(
You can likely buy it back for only a couple hundred dollars though. Make some money parting it.Comment

So a little update on my situation, I got a call from insurance and I took their deal; I got $5,600 which is actually good for me because I put in about $2300 in parts and bought the car for $1700. I did put a lot of time into this car which is valued at something i'm sure, but it was all for the learning experience, so I'm walking away from this a happy man with more money in my pocket!:p
