My 88 325is

Hey guys (and any bimmer gals out there) this is my newly purchased 1988 325is. This is my 2nd e30 (sold the first one after an accident). Ive been a BMW nut ever since i was a kid and have worked on cars both professionally and in the drive way. As it sits its just a normal bone stock 325is. I have some major plans for it in the near future. Bear with my as i only have a few pictures as she currently sits. It has a single stage paint, so once i get some time ill buff and polish it up and itll look good as new. I picked up a few parts over the weekend from VAC motorsports...those guys are legit... and now just waiting on some more of the maintenance stuff. Enjoy, and ill update pics as i do more work and buy more parts

Another '88 in VA! I love the license plate. The paint looks much better now, nice work. Where did you find the car?

Thanks fellas... it still isnt 100 percent perfect but much better than it was before. i picked up the car actually from a fellow member on here in springfield va.

Good job on trying to bring it back to life. I've always wanted to have an 88. I love the big tails X metal bumper combo. I still keep an eye out for one everyday

lol thanks. i hate the diving board bumpers... makes me feel like im driving a bus.. a short bus.. but a bus none the less haha

thank you! yea im still amazed.. my in-laws are getting me the porter cable detailing kit for my birthday in a few months so i can finally finish it... just to have it repainted over the winter!! hHAH

Had a 88 325is, man I miss that car.. early aluminum bumpers, later larger rear tailights and projector style headlights. Lachsilver met. black leather interior... Upgraded to factory CD ready radio and factory 6 disc changer ...

well I hate the bumpers.... HATE them lol still trying to source a good pastic set for the front and rear. it has an aftermarket headunit in there not wired up... but I just discovered today it has no rear deck speakers...

Well doing some work on the car today... putting in a a black seat on the passenger side so my wife can drive around with me since the one in there is all messed up... new passenger side taillight assembly, steering wheel, and drive belts. will post pics this afternoon. should be a fun day of beer, bmw's and grease.

Havent posted to this thread in almost a year and quite a bit has happened since then.. car is 90% completely stripped. Pics will come this weekend. Currently have a bare block LS1 sitting in the garage waiting to be built. should continue to be an interesting restore. more fun to come...
