Always been a big fan of the TI models, and I've been keeping my eye out for a car to pick up as an SCCA beater. I looked at a fair number of cars, and as I wasn't looking to spend a fortune they were mostly trash. A 318ti popped up, out of what I was willing to spend for this endeavor, but after some negotiations I signed the title.
1995 318ti - 229k miles, and you'd never know. Raceland coilovers, which are actually better riding than I'd given credit for and some catback exhaust. The interior, has seen better days. Came with no door cards, seats are dirty, and the sunroof will not go forward. Temp gauge barely registers (I already changed thermostat, and the previous one was stuck open - so still sorting that out). I picked up a set of door cards today and reglued all of the clips back on. No inside pics yet - but....
PICS - albeit both dirty and from an iphone...

As far as the E30 goes - 87 ETA that started off as an automatic, I 5 speed swapped it. MarkD chip, polyurethane subframe and trailing arm bushings, H&R OE springs and E36 seats. Otherwise, just did all the normal timing belt, tie rods, etc...intended to be a daily driver.
