haha thanks, the old one was ok but had no paint and broke down a lot. Enjoying the eta mpgs, hope it won't let me down!

Appreciate the love lol I would like to keep it stock and fix all the minor issues for now. Loving the stock feel, never techincally drove my 1st e30 at stock height; kind of fun for whatever reason lol

Big plans for early next year; some will like it better now and others later ;)

Can wobble bolts be used on a 108 or is that way overboard?

    Nice pickup Nick
Might be possible, thought fill and drill would be a go but still going to be expensive due to exposed lug holes

lmao pics were taken day after I got it so naturally when my mom asked who wanted to go grab her oranges I hastily volunteered. Pix are at my buddy Steve's house. And yes my interior smelled great

started a topic 86 325es|My 'grown up' car

    86 325es|My 'grown up' car

It all started in 09 when my cousin gave me her e30 5 days after my 18th birthday. It was a 5 speed 325e in trashed bronzit, but working on that thing made me fall in love with bimmers. I did an 'i' swap when the head gasket blew and a few other kiddy mods like open 4.10 diff, Eibach prokits and a roof rack but I got fed up with it breaking down at the beginning of every school quarter (literally; I think it was allergic to school)

Anyway this last december I traded it straight across for a delphin e28 535i with ~320k miles (LOL!) Which, surprisingly, took me to school every day, 80 miles round trip without one hiccup. I got my first job in March at a mall 30 miles down the highway and decided that with school coming up shortly (Sep 19; booooooo  ) it was time for better MPG's as the 19 I was getting at the time just wasn't cutting it.

Sometime in May I saw a craigslist ad for an 86 325es with a salvage title and decided like any other logical human being would that this was perfect :nice:

    Pics from the ad

Went down to corona and found a clean car that needed just a little bit of tlc to be perfect. Only thing holding me back from buying it that day was the grey lump that I drove there with. After agreeing with the guy to hold it for 2 weeks, I listed my car up for sale the next day but at 320k, I just wasn't getting any real bites. Long story short, nearly 3 months passed before I sold my car (last week actually) and all the while the gentleman kept the car on hold for me and even removed the craigslist listing!

Almost 3 years to the month after receiving my first e30, I am back! Happy 21st birthday to me lol

    Specs:
    -86 325es
    -Black leather sport interior
    -2.93 lsd
    -Chrome bcaps
    -Pop out windows
-Working odo; 259k miles. Only 30k miles since purchased in 2001
-Timing belt changed last year; non-opped since last year
-Salvage title due to passenger door being hit (repaired obviously)
-Resprayed white a couple years ago (still in great shape)

Needs a couple things like the stock rear premium speakers (missing), control arms and tie rods, and fan clutch (replaced) but the logical thing to do was to buy wheels that don't fit - 4x108

I am loving every minute of this thing, even with stock suspension :D
