    Bimmerthusiast's 87 325is Build

Just picked up this gem 2 days ago. Its got its flaws and is definitely a big project, but I couldn't pass up on this deal. This is my first BMW actually after owning two SAABs. My dad previously had an E21 and an E30 and the look of old cars really grew on me.

This thread will be quite a detailed build. i'll be updating this quite often with lots of pictures of the progress.

Filled her up on the way home from the purchase.

Finally arrived safely at home after driving in a storm.

The panel under the steering wheel is missing.

rear seats don't look bad, but the carpet is filthy.

Front sport seats are pretty worn, but it came with a 6-series CSI MOMO steering wheel!

Another shot of the condition of the seats.

    Dash shot.

Going for a different look and this ghetto rigged shadowlining has got to go.

    Worn out vinyl.

Mixture of vinyl and electrical tape. SMH

    More electric tape.

Car came with a tucked and painted US metal bumper with some shot rubber moldings haha. This needs to be replaced asap.

    Love the zender spoiler though!

Side skirts need to be redone, but these Kameis are pretty rare I believe! They look pretty good too imo.

    scratched to death LH fender.

sunroof works and seals fine so no worries there. Just filthy!

These vents need to be painted asap!

Front bumper was plasti dipped and it has its share of cracks/rips. May replace this as well.

In the process of a quick wash/wax. You can see the plasti dip coming off from the degreaser I used in the engine bay haha.

After the quick wash/wax and plasti dip removed.

Solid base to start from, I really like the diving board / kamei skirt combo for some reason. Makes it look like a "Half" M3, if you know what I mean.

Wasting a lot of money that I won't get back haha.

        - Possibly front rear euro bumpers
        - Remove shadowlining
        - new 16x8 wheel setup
        - BC coilovers
        - Lemforder Control Arm Kit 9-Piece
        - Steering wheel upgrade
        - Dye carpet
        - Back interior conversion
        - other interior upgrades

.. and the list goes on haha. We'll see how it goes!

Edit: just looked at the thread again..Yea that's definitely your car..you must have multiple profiles on here;)

                  Thanks guys.

                  Little update:

I picked up all these interior pieces from a guy up north and will be doing the conversion soon.

Also picked up a few things to restore outside trim, leather seats, and to paint the carpet!

Decided to work on it a bit after school today.

Dad and I removed the seats

                              Carpet and rear cards removed!

More pics of the mess haha

                              And more..

A few spots I gotta cut out and weld in.

QUESTION for everyone, what is that tubeless pipe supposed to connect to? And where can I get that fuel sender plug thingy? The wire is cut so I need to solder a plug to the wire and plug it in. Thanks!

                              It's a big mess..

                              More of the mess..

Threw in the back seats to see how they would look. much better :)
