    My New 325es. Slow Build

About 4 months ago i put i sign on this guys 325es saying id buy. Couple days later i saw it on craigslist for $3000. First thing i thought was theres no way im paying that much for that car. So long story short, after 4 months of haggling back and forth i ended up buying it for $1900. Not really what i wanted to pay for it but it was in great shape for sure. Ive done a good search under neath in cracks and crevices and could not find any rust.

My plan is to just do some standard maintenance first such as all bushings, fuel and brake lines, spark plugs and other odds and ends. Then i'm going to look for a coilover set and a nice set of wheels and tires. Not going for anything expensive, just to go lower, im not one to complain about ride quality.

    -Things to do

*TR Motorsport C1 (Unless you guys have some recommendations)

*Hankook Ventus RS-3 or Kumho Ecsta AST

*I know a lot of people disapprove of Raceland coilovers but for the money i honestly don't care

    *Grip Royal Steering wheel

    *Find some nice Ellipsoids
    *Condor Bushings
    *ETA to i swap
*Radio needs code, so i'm just going to buy an aftermarket one
*Give it a good buff and detail
    *Tuck bumpers
    *Front bumper license plate delete
    *Tint the windows
*Euro grills, kidneys, Smoked lenses, rear euro plate and some other stuff

    -Things Done

*Working ODO at 210,000 miles (rounded up)

    *Spark Plugs
    *All red tails.
    *Fix front valance
    *Frenched the fog lights
*Starting interior work. Just cleaning it up. Leather care and all that.
    *Air filter
    *Fuel lines

    Now onto the pics.

    Day i looked at it

lol you have the exact same car as me but mine is white. Similar condition even, and I paid 1800; 1900 after registration

Looks like a good start, looking forward to seeing updates

I understand not giving a shit and buying racelands, I suppose if you're on a strict budget, but don't buy RS3s and C1s and then buy racelands. Buy Ground Controls and KYB shocks at minimum. Racelands are total fucking shit.

Looks like a good start. Check out Classic Trimcoat for kits to rebuild/smooth the bumper rubber & surrounds, as well as rejuvenate the anodized aluminum trim. I used both products on Klaus and am very pleased with the outcome.

Looks like a solid start. $1900 isn't really all that out of the question for a decent E30.

Unfortunately (or fortunately?), that's what E30 prices are looking more and more like these days.
Car looks clean - for a rust free E30 where you live, this makes sense.

Good luck with it! Lots and lots of potential.

Wicked clean start. My favorite is a black early model.

Sorry i haven't updated for a while. Waiting for more money to come in to start doing big things.
So far ive replaced the air filter, fuel hoses and im going to get a new fuel filter. Im getting a sputtering at certain rpms.

Got the valance off and all the brackets are broken so im making new ones and repainting it. (not spending $150 for 3 plastic brackets!)

Also im going for the cleanest engine bay i can get without doing major changes. So far I've taken out washer tank and ac compressor and working on lines tomorrow and just trying to cut down on wires and lines. Also gonna relocate the coolant tank.

                            Update:
Got all AC components out. Evaporator, fan, lines, compressor and will be working on the lines in the dash this weekend.
Also finished the custom mounts for the airdam. I have it on just till the weekend to finish some mounting holes. Should be ordering the coilovers this weekend.
                            Ill add pics ASAP

If you need the code for the BMW radio just take it to your local BMW dealership and they can look it up for you with the radio serial.. this has worked for me in the past..

                              Looking good.
