I love how everyone hates on the wheel and tire combo, but no one hates on taking a possibly CRACKED head to a machine shop? You do realize that a reputable shop will not work on a cracked head... Filling in pitting sure, but glossing over cracks is a big no no. If it's cracked you need a new head buddy... And some new tires

Are you a machinist? Ive had cracked heads repaired by a reputable shop that didn't have any issues.

This is just my $0.02 but you probably won't find who originally built your E30 so instead of going crazy and guessing what needs to be addressed why don't you take it to a shop and have them do a full inspection.

You seem to be pretty handy with a wrench so just do all the repairs/replacements after they confirm what might need to be addressed. I would hate to see you get frustrated with this one and end up selling.

Lol bring in the hate! I love it! But im going to a 225 or 215 with a 45 sidewall when these tires die, and reducing the spacer size in the rear when i get some more money but it rides fine how it sits and im fine with it.

But i agree on the 3.46 diff, even with the 4.10 every gear was short but it was super quick :D

Ill let you know how this 3.25 diff rides on the highway as soon as i get the head back on

Damn, it looks like you can't afford enough tire, maybe a few more weeks on the paper route before you can buy the right sized tires. I once had to wear a pair of pants with a 36" inseam that were too short and highwatered it up, so, just know we have all done it in some form, but we weren't dumb enough to post our mistakes on a car forum.
